Mummification

I was recently looking into the art of mummification and was pleased to see that there is an excellent museum in Luxor dedicated to the topic. I didn't realise that birds and repltiles were mummified along with humans. I was also ignorant of the fact that every organ was removed except for the heart - fascinating stuff. For those of you planning a visit to Egypt I am sure Luxor is on your itinerary, add the Mummification Museum to your list as well.
