Home to more than 16 million people, Cairo, Africa's largest city, is not for the faint of heart. Traffic lights are routinely ignored and donkey carts still vie with cars for the right of way. Mosques and minarets mingle uneasily with gleaming skyscrapers. Then of course there are the Great Pyramids, the oldest tourist destination in the world.
