Namibians

Namibia is one of the most sparsely populated countries in the world but what it lacks in numbers it makes up for in color and diversity. It's rare to see Africans in traditional dress wandering through their capital city, but in Windhoek you can bump in to a Bushman, rub shoulders with a Herero woman (dressed in Victorian looking garb) and catch a glimpse of a Himba, semi-clad, entering a government office. You can be traveling in the middle of the desert and come upon a perfectly run German gas station with clean pink curtains decorating the public toilet. Although English is the official language, if you want to chat with a Bushman and can't master those clicks, try Afrikaans.
If this little bit of information whets your appetite there are plenty of cultural tours of Namibia available for your enjoyment.
