Free Accommodation in South Africa

Monday October 3, 2005
homeswapblog.jpg The cost of a flight to South Africa often puts people off taking a vacation there, especially if time is limited. But if your accommodation is free then your African vacation becomes very affordable. Is there a catch? Nope, it's called 'home exchange'.

Home exchanges have been popular for many years and there are plenty of options available in South Africa. By switching homes with a South African family for a week or two, your accommodation is free and very often a car as well. This is a wonderful option for those who enjoy their independence as well as those traveling with kids. Given the favorable exchange rate you can enjoy a beach vacation in Cape Town for a very reasonable price.

(1) Barbara Koster says:

I am currently a teacher in the UAE because I lost everything (a beautiful townhouse and my car) that I had in S.A. because of no permanent job opportunity as teacher allthough I have a B.A.-degree as well as a Teacher’s Diploma. The status of my VISA has changed because I changed schools. The previous school handed NOC-letters to their staff members with the wrong signature on it. It means that I might have to return to S.A. for a period of 6 months. I won’t be able to survive without a job (money); accommodation and transport. I hoped for this website inform me of places where I can get “FREE ACCOMMODATION.” I know it sounds irrealistic, but the website was advertised as such. HELP – PLEASE!
