Egypt Wins Africa Cup of Nations

Egypt just won its 5th Africa Cup of Nations title after a nail biting penalty shoot-out against the Ivory Coast. The final score after extra time was still 0-0. But the Pharaohs pulled out all the stops and beat their opponents 4-2 in the penalties. Egyptians will be celebrating for the next few days and if you are there right now enjoy the party.

It's been a tough week for Egypt. A ferry disaster killed hundreds of people and tensions are also high from ongoing protests against the political cartoons originally published by a Danish newspaper depicting the Prophet Muhammad in various disrespectful ways.

But this historic win in Egypt's most beloved national sport will change the mood in the country. There's also good news from the Valley of the Kings in Luxor. A new tomb has been discovered complete with untouched sarcophagi and mummies dating back to 1540BC... read more
