Conservation Jobs in Africa

black rhino south africa conservation jobs

Conservation jobs in Africa allow you to make a career out of going on safari, which is very appealing to many of us. Most of the wildlife you see in Africa is still there because of the tremendous efforts by conservationists, ecologists, botanists and many others dedicated to preserving the natural habitats of African flora and fauna. Some species like the mountain gorilla are barely holding on, others like the African elephant are doing a lot better than they were 20 years ago.

I've put together some resources for those interested in either getting a paid or volunteer job to further conservation efforts in Africa. There are some wonderful opportunities to work with rhino's, cheetahs, elephants, chimpanzees, penguins and more. You can train to be a game ranger, help collect important data on coral reefs, and tag animals to track them. Find out more about conservation jobs in Africa ....

Thanks! I got the image from South African Tourism, I’ll let them know about the mistake. Switched the image out now to a lovely example of a Black Rhino, taken in Kenya. Just for everyone out there, the difference between a Black Rhino and a White Rhino has little to do with their color, which is actually similar, but it has to do with the shape of their upper lip. A White Rhino has a square upper lip, a Black Rhino has a more pointy, hook-like upper lip.
