Saturday June 13, 2009
airlines in africa Getting a cheap flight to Africa is not easy, it often requires a good travel agent with a decent knowledge of African geography, history and African airline networks. For those traveling to Cairo, Cape Town or Nairobi things are a little more straightforward since there are enough flights available to get somewhat competitive rates. But if you're looking for a cheap flight to Zambia, Mali, Namibia or Uganda, you'll have to get creative.

Pricing a flight from London to many African destinations used to be budget-friendly, but taxes are so high now, it's generally better to check out flights via Paris or Amsterdam. Emirates airlines through Dubai will increase your time in the air, but is proving to be good for the wallet with excellent short lay-overs and competitive pricing for flights to Tanzania, Mauritius and the Seychelles. Ethiopian, South African and Royal Air Moroc airlines all have excellent regional networks and can really help if you're planning to travel to several countries within Africa.

One of the best ways to find out about cheap flights to Africa is by word of mouth. If you could share your recent experiences with finding flights to Africa, everyone will benefit. The cheaper the airfare, the more we can all travel to Africa.
