Cairo has hundreds of hotels to choose from, this is after all the biggest city in Africa as well as the most visited. I've put together a list of top 10 hotels in Cairo that will hopefully help anyone looking for accommodation with good value and honest service. You can get a good, clean, safe dorm room for under $10, or you can opt for a resort overlooking the Pyramids with multiple swimming pools. Even that will only set you back just over $100 a night. Sound good?
Personally, I enjoy a small, mid-range boutique hotel like the Talisman. It's beautifully decorated, uniquely furnished and in the center of it all. I like to walk out the front door of a hotel and really be in the thick of it, why bother traveling to Egypt otherwise?
