According to several media reports, real estate mogul Farhad Vladi revealed that he has rented the remote private North Island in the Seychelles archipelago, to the royal couple. This is not the first time the couple has vacationed in the Seychelles. In 2007, they rented out the entire Desroches Island Resort, the only accommodation on the idyllic island of the same name. According to William at the time, it was the best vacation he had ever had. The young couple were just coming off a brief split in their relationship that spring.

The North island is home to 11 exclusive, ultra-luxurious villas. Each 4,890 square foot villa comes with private butler service, a chef, and several maids -- a staff that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have vowed they would be doing without back in the UK. As well as being pampered, the newly-weds have a gorgeous private beach and will likely spend quite a bit of time scuba diving, one of Prince William's favorite sports. The Seychelles islands offer some of the best diving in the world. Other than sunbathing and swimming, the royal couple can take nature walks, zoom around in a dune buggy, ride mountain bikes, and enjoy romantic dinners on the beach.

Another up-and-coming ‘hot’ destination, are the islands of northern Mozambique – the Quirimbas Archipelago. Easily accessed from both Dar es Salaam in Tanzania and Johannesburg in South Africa. These islands are remote, romantic and luxurious. The marine life here is phenomenal and the beaches postcard perfect – long white beaches, see-through waters of the lightest blue. Big game fishing is also a draw card, although it operates on a catch and release basis because the islands are within a marine reserve. And for an experience that puts a new spin on an island holiday, you can go mobile island hopping – head out on a traditional dhow, with kayaks towed behind and cruise the islands of the Quirimbas Archipelago. Each afternoon you stop off on a remote island where your tents have been set up and dinner and ice cold bevvies await. AND… each time I have compared pricing with the Seychelles for clients, these Mozambique Islands have compared favourably.
