2012 October Festvals in Africa

Eid, Goat, AfricaThe Seychelles host their annual Kreol Festival every October. Be prepared to break up your sunbathing with a spot of dancing and a sampling of delicious Kreol cuisine. Moroccans will be sweetening up their palates this October at the Erfoud Date Festival. In South Africa the whales are making a splash off the coast of Hermanus. Check out the Whale Festival there if you're in country, the best land-based whale-watching on earth!

Muslims throughout the continent will be dragging home a young sheep or goat to enjoy with their families for Eid ul-Adha, the Festival of Sacrifice. This is a really wonderful community party.
