This cat hunts during the day, usually early in the morning or late afternoon. It's a solitary life for most individuals and a hard one too. Only about 10% of cubs make it to adulthood. It's listed as a "vulnerable" species and there's only an estimated 12,000 left in the world today. Nearly all of them live in Africa, scattered around from as far north as Algeria and all the way down to South Africa. Namibia is home to the largest population. They purr, but can't roar.
