Gorilla Tracking in Uganda
Tracking mountain gorillas in their natural habitat is not easy. The number of people allowed to get close to groups of habituated gorillas is very limited. You need a guide, a permit and you also have to be extremely fit. Mountain gorillas live and eat in very dense foliage up steep mountain slopes. The family groups also move to a different location every day. Finding gorillas can take several hours of scrambling in muddy conditions.
