Eye to Eye with the Mountain Gorillas
Once you've got muddy and scrambled up steep mountain slopes for several hours, your reward is spending an hour just observing gorillas at close quarters. It's such a unique experience nobody will leave unmoved by it. When you are close to the gorillas you have to be careful to follow some basic tracking rules. You are not allowed to eat, talk loudly, move suddenly or touch the gorillas (although the gorillas may choose to touch you). You also have to be at least 16 years of age and in good health. For more information about gorilla tracking see my Guide to Gorilla Safaris.
