Cameroon - Lions Indomitables (The Indomitable Lions)
Cameroon's Indomitable Lions had a relatively smooth ride to qualify for the 2010 World Cup and we'd expect nothing less from the highest ranked African team (by FIFA). Cameroon wowed the world by reaching the Quarter Finals during the 1990 World Cup in Italy. Their performance paved the way for more African teams to qualify for the tournament. But they haven't played that well for a while on the world stage and even failed to qualify for the last World Cup (2006, Germany). This is Cameroon's sixth visit to the World Cup stage (an African record); could 2010 be their year? Unfortunately they drew a tough first round group, and even though their star players, including Eto'o, delivered a good performance, the Lions were the first team to exit the World Cup after a 2-1 loss to Denmark. The Indomitable Lions are coached by Frenchman Paul Le Guen.
