Nigeria - Super Eagles
Nigeria's 2010 World Cup qualifying games were a scramble but they just made it in and hope for a smoother ride in their group stage. The Super Eagles have been to the World Cup a few times in the past and were looking to make their mark in 2010. Unfortunately they failed to make it through to the final 16 despite a spirited try against South Korea. There were just too many missed opportunities. The Super Eagles had a strong attacking team led by Martins, Yakubu Aiyegbeni, and Peter Odemwingie. They are coached by Shaibu Amodu, a veteran with the Eagles, who led them to qualify for the 2002 World Cup.
