Thanks in Africa, Marrakech, Morocco

Saying Shukran in Marrakech, Morocco

© Sjaak Zijlma
Below are several ways to say "thank you" in Africa. African societies are generally very polite and a "thank you" in a local language will really help you establish a friendly rapport with people while you're traveling. Since there are thousands of languages spoken in Africa, I've had to narrow down the choices quite a bit. I've also tried to use an example of "thanks" in the language most widely understood throughout a specific country.

E-mail me if you know of more and I'll be happy to include them!
