The Black-Back and Me

We spent much of the trek getting away from this black-back when in the final ten minutes, he settled down in the tree and munched away, delicately selective, on the bamboo leaves. It was the longest period of time we spent in one spot, just watching him and enjoying the scene. It only dawned on me at the end of the hour that I should really try and get a photo of myself and a gorilla. The guide was nice enough to get this shot. I'd recommend you try and get more than just one photo if you get a chance to visit the gorillas, the black blob behind me could have been anything!
