The Forest Camp at 9,000 feet is the first camp for hikers along the Lemosho-Barranco-Barafu route. Some of the hikers start taking Diamox which is a medicine that speeds up acclimatization. The trekkers sleep in the colorful two man tents and the porters sleep in the green canvas tents. Every night at camp a toilet tent is set up, as well as a dining tent. The porters set up the camp before the hikers arrive and prepare the meals. They also make sure hikers have a hot cup of tea or coffee when they wake up in the morning.
